Privacy Notice
Last updated Oct 14, 2026
This notice explains what information Dataverity collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information about our users
When you create and use an account we collect:
- account information: your name, email address, password (stored as a hash), workspace name, and the date you accepted the Terms;
- usage information: pages you open, searches, lists, saved searches, alerts, call outcomes, and error reports you send;
- profile choices: the services you sell, the territory and industries you choose, and similar settings.
Business contact information about others
Dataverity compiles business contact information from public records and licensed sources. This can include a person's name, job role, employer, and business contact details such as a company's main phone line. We do not show personal phone numbers or personal email addresses from public filings. The sources are listed on Data sources & licenses.
How we use information
We use information to run Dataverity: to show records and accounts, to suggest who to contact, to send alerts you ask for, to answer support requests and error reports, to secure the service, and to improve it.
Sharing
We share information with:
- subscribers, who see business contact information as part of the service;
- service providers who host, store, or deliver email for Dataverity, under contracts that limit their use of the information;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell user account information.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information about you, or to opt out of having your business contact information shown in Dataverity. Send requests to privacy@dataverity.ai. We will verify the request and answer it within the time the law requires.
Retention
We keep account information while your account is open and for a reasonable period after it closes, unless the law requires otherwise. Business contact information is kept while its source still publishes it or until a valid deletion or opt-out request.
Security
We protect information with access controls, encrypted connections, and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure.
No FCRA use
Dataverity is not a consumer reporting agency. Its data may not be used to decide an individual's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, or housing, or for any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
