Terms of Service
Last updated Oct 14, 2026
These terms cover your use of Dataverity, a service run by Dataverity ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them.
Who may use Dataverity
Dataverity is for businesses. You may use it only on behalf of a business, and you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that business. It is not for personal, family, or household use.
The data
Dataverity arranges public records and licensed business data about industrial facilities. The data is provided as-is. A record may be incomplete, out of date, or matched to the wrong facility. A record does not say a site is unsafe, and a count is not a score. Before you rely on a record, verify it against the official source linked on the record and listed on Data sources & licenses.
No warranty
Dataverity is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limits on liability
Our total liability for any claim about Dataverity is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, even if we were told they were possible.
Your outreach
You are responsible for making sure your outreach complies with the law, including the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and state law. Drafts, openers, and suggested contacts are suggestions. You edit and send them, and you decide whether and how to contact anyone.
What you may not do
You may not use Dataverity, or any data from it:
- for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including deciding an individual's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, or housing;
- for background screening or tenant screening;
- to harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone;
- to resell, redistribute, or bulk-export data to third parties;
- to scrape or crawl the service, or to access it by automated means other than features we provide;
- to reverse engineer the service.
Corrections
If a record is wrong, use "Report an error" on the record or the account page. We review reports within 5 business days.
Account, billing, and cancellation
A new desk starts with a 14-day trial for up to 3 people. A card is not required for the trial. Plans are listed on the Billing page: Solo, one person, $49 a month; Team, three people, $149 a month. Billing is not turned on yet, so no card is charged. When a trial or plan ends, the desk locks: lists, saved searches, and people stay, and plant search stays closed until a plan is active. You may stop using Dataverity at any time. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that misuses Dataverity or breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may change these terms. We will give notice in the app or by email before a change takes effect. If you keep using Dataverity after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
